The department also closely cooperates with the representations of international institutions and donor organizations. Faculty has been implementing various research projects and preparing policy briefs for the following organizations:

  • World Bank resident mission in the Kyrgyz Republic
  • Asian Development Bank resident mission in the Kyrgyz Republic

  • USAID

Department organizes on a regular basis guest lectures from World Bank experts for economics students. Also, new courses in environmental economics is being developed in collaboration with GIZ.

The list of key organizations in charge of formulation and implementation of economic policy, which have been closely cooperating with the Department includes but not limited to:

  • Economy and Investments division of the Prime-Minister鈥檚 office
  • Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic
  • The Institute of Economy of the National Academy of Sciences
  • National Institute of Strategic Researches
  • National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic
  • National Statistical Office of the Kyrgyz Republic

This cooperation with public organizations helps students to bind their theoretical knowledge with practice. The department in close cooperation with the Prime-Minister鈥檚 Office and Ministry of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to deliver an internship project for the best senior students: they able to have non-paid internship at economic policy organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic. This internship gives a chance to its participants to gain practical experience in the field.

Department Faculty regularly provides special seminars for the employees of the Ministry of Economy on using econometric software packages (STATA,E-Views)in development of economic policy with macroeconomic variables analysis.

The Governor of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic provided an official Letter of Support for MSc in Economics Program in 2016.

Continuous efforts are directed toward establishing working relationships with international universities and research centers.

In 2012 the department signed Project document with. The joint project envisages curriculum development and research products:

  • All our MSc students had opportunity to study one semester at NMBU in 2016-2020.
  • The Masters of Science in Economics at 缅北强奸 program has been developed in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
  • More than 10 faculty members visited NMBU in 2012-2019 to co-develop courses and share experiences
  • There were 3 collaborative research projects completed
  • 2 Economics Department faculty members are currently enrolled in NMBU PhD Program
  • 11 MSc in Economics Students have spent one semester in Norway (fully funded by the program) in 2018-2019

Bard College is 缅北强奸鈥檚 main international partner institution. Bard International Network comprises liberal arts institutions in Kyrgyzstan, USA, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, and Russia) and fosters multifaceted cooperation among their faculty, administration, and students.

Double degree

In 2009, Bard and 缅北强奸 launched a collaborative partnership that, from 2011 onwards, grants Bard degrees of Bachelor of Arts to eligible students in Economics program.听These degrees are in addition to those issued by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Student exchange

Six students from 缅北强奸 travel to the Bard College, Unites States every semester. Sophomores and juniors with good academic standing are eligible to participate in the.

Conferences and Workshops

  • Bard College supports faculty to participate in conferences related to civic engagement.
  • Bard regularly organizes faculty and staff workshops
  • At least one student team from 缅北强奸 is funded every year to attend Bard Network Debate Workshops

US-CAEF (Central Asia Education Foundation) has been supporting the department since 2008 by delivering special teaching workshops and seminars to faculty members and by providing with books and materials on teaching methodology and research. It also supports students by offering Enterprise Student Fellowships and Enterprise Intern Fellowships.

Enterprise Student Fellowships provide financial need-based scholarships to academically qualified students of Central Asia for undergraduate programs in business administration and economics. It includes full tuition and financial support for living and travel expenses. Fellowships are awarded for the full four-year term of undergraduate study, but are subject to annual renewal based on academic performance and other conditions.

Enterprise Intern Fellowships are offered to outstanding students from Enterprise Student Fellowship program to gain valuable work experience in the USA.
