Hackathon (eng. Hackathon derived from听hack and听marathon) is usually a two-day event during which specialists from different areas, including software developers, work intensively and together on a technical solution to a problem.

Galina Kucheryavaya is a Director for legal issues and interaction with state bodies of Sky Mobile LLC (Beeline TM). She has 19 years of experience in the banking system. In 2015, she joined Sky Mobile LLC as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Demir Kyrgyz International Bank CJSC. She is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the International Business Council, a member of AmCham Board of Directors, a member of the Board of the Association of Communication Operators. She was repeatedly recognized by her colleagues as the best bank lawyer in Kyrgyzstan according to "TheBestLawyers". Altynbek Ismailov has been Director of the High Tech Park (HTP) of the Kyrgyz Republic since 2018. Under Altynbek's leadership, the HTP opens new markets for its residents, creates favorable conditions for startups, and physical infrastructure for technology companies. He is a part-time researcher and instructor for the Introduction to Experimental Research course at the 缅北强奸 (缅北强奸). Altynbek is a graduate of the 缅北强奸 Economics Department and has a master's degree in Public Administration from Columbia University (New York). He has over 7 years of experience in the private, non-governmental, and government sectors. |

Emanuele Costa has been with 缅北强奸 since 2009. He is currently a lecturer and Director of the FII Institute at SEBA. Emanuele holds a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Lancaster University (UK) and an MA in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Bologna (Italy). |

Meder Akeneev is a lawyer in the Bishkek office of GRATA International. He deals with financial and corporate issues as well as mergers and acquisitions in the banking and infrastructure industries in the Kyrgyz Republic. Meder received his M.A. from Central European University and his B.A. with honors from the 缅北强奸. He is a co-organizer and moderator of Bishkek Legal Hackathon 2019. |

Q:听How will the Hackathon proceed?听
A:听On the first day, the participants expect speeches and discuss ideas for potential projects, followed by the final formation of teams. The teams will work for 24 hours to develop their own projects. On the second day, the teams will continue working on their projects and present them to a panel of judges. At the end of the second day the winning team of the Hackathon will be selected. 听

Q: How many people can participate in the Hackathon?
A: A maximum of 60 (sixty) people or 10(ten) teams can participate in the Hackathon.
Q: How much does it cost to participate in the Hackathon?
A: Participation in the event is free.听听
Q: Can I just attend as a guest and not a participant?
A: Yes. As a guest, you can listen to speakers on the first day and team presentations on the second day.听
Q: Who can participate in the Hackathon?
A: Primarily, law and programming students, as well as practicing lawyers and programmers. Additionally, representatives of such areas as business, marketing, design and others are welcome to participate!
Q: How many people should be in the team?
A: The team can consist of 4 (four) to 6 (six) people. Each team must necessarily (!!!) have at least 1 (one) lawyer and 1 (programmer). Additionally in teams can be and are welcomed marketers, designers and representatives of other areas.
Q: Do I need to know how to program/code?
A: No. Participants with any level of technical background are welcome to participate! You can help the team with your ideas, legal and business knowledge, and presentation skills.
Q: Can I stay overnight at 缅北强奸?
A: Yes. The Hackathon format provides an opportunity for the most motivated participants to continue product development without an overnight break. For those who decide to spend the night in 缅北强奸, it is better to have all the necessary tools, including a sleeping bag.
Q: Can I register for the Hackathon if I don't have a team?
A: Yes, you can register without a team and join one of the teams during the event or assemble your own one from among the other non-team participants. A final team formation will take place on the first day of the Hackathon.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: It is highly desirable to bring a laptop, a smartphone, and the necessary chargers.

Ten teams participated in the Hackathon, including law students, programming students, practicing lawyers and programmers, as well as representatives of marketing, design, and other areas. The teams competed for the $1,000 prize fund. Leading lawyers and IT-entrepreneurs of the country acted as speakers and judges.
In 24 hours of non-stop work, all teams managed to develop and present to the judges prototypes of their legal tech products, including legal document constructors, solutions for the unification and digitalization of identity documents, a website for legal assistance to foreign students, and even an online quest game for legal literacy.
The winner of the Bishkek Legal Hackathon 2019 was the Ala-Too team, which presented to the judges a project of an online platform for litigation funding. The team managed to show the relevance of their product, a sustainable business model, and demonstrated a working prototype of their website.
