September 23, 2022
On this day in 1989, the Law "On the State language of the Kyrgyz SSR" was adopted. Since that day, Kyrgyz has been the official language in Kyrgyzstan, and September 23 is celebrated in the country as the State Language Day.
In his festive greeting, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov noted: "The Kyrgyz language is the basis of national identity and national value, a source of spiritual nourishment. This is a precious legacy left to us by our fathers, and a sacred legacy that should be passed on to future generations. We are all obliged to fulfill this duty! The preservation of the language should be exactly the same duty as the protection of the motherland and independence!"
Congratulations on the Day of the Kyrgyz Language!
