Today, on June 13th, an official opening ceremony of the 鈥淚nstitute of Journalism in Central Asia 2022鈥 was held at 缅北强奸. We are delighted to announce that it is the 3rd year of the institute鈥檚 operation in the framework of the project. Journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were invited to 缅北强奸 to participate in the summer school, which takes place in Bishkek (缅北强奸) and Issyk-Kul (Recreation Center 鈥楻aduga鈥).听
听The training aimed to support media workers in their career development in Journalism and Mass Communication. During the course critical aspects such as ethics, fact checking and disinformation will be covered.听 It is an interactive program that provides journalists with the necessary knowledge and skills in the following areas:听
听During the opening, U.S. Embassy Press Attach茅 Nolen Johnson expressed his hope that the training, skills and networking gained by participants听 will help them to develop the level of journalism in Central Asia.听
The duration of the training is three weeks, starting from today and ending on July 1, 2022.听
The program is organized with the support of the United States Department of State in partnership with International Center Meridian in Washington.
