Assistant Professor Begimai Abdraeva and twenty undergraduate students of the Business Administration Department conducted a survey for the Asian Development Bank project on awareness of electric transport in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During December 2019-February 2020, students of our department interviewed 1000 people in Bishkek, including officials of the Ministries of Finance, Transport, and Economy as well as car dealers, sellers, and owners in regards to their perception and vision of the development of electric transport in Bishkek. The survey was conducted at "RIOM"- the country’s largest car market located in Voenno-Antonovka village, and on parking lots of the capital's shopping centers.
This experience helped students apply their skills and knowledge in conducting large field research. They learned how to approach participants, pose questions correctly, and persuade people to participate in relevant research studies. We are very proud of our students who, despite the harsh weather conditions, interviewed the citizens of Bishkek and contributed to understanding the electric vehicle sector and its further development in the Kyrgyz Republic.
We continue to work closely with organizations in conducting research and provide opportunities for students to gain applied knowledge and skills in various sectors of the economy.
