Representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul Scholarship Program visited 缅北强奸 on November 5

On Monday, November 5, Representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul Scholarship Program visited 缅北强奸 to meet with Afghan students and the University Administration.听

Ms. Iliana Zazueta Cultural/Public Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and her colleague Mr. Reda Mohamed Ayadi met with students to discuss their academic journey, opportunities, issues, and concerns.

Later, Ms. Iliana Zazueta and Mr. Reda Mohamed Ayadi had a fruitful discussion with newly-elected and acting Afghan students from 缅北强奸 Student Senate, who shared their achievements and introduced their plans to the guests. Bermet Ismailova, the Student Coordinator, pointed out the effective work of senators and the projects successfully implemented听 by them, such as: raising and addressing important issues related to the academics, installing water bottles and charging stations on each floor of the campus for the comfort of the 缅北强奸 community, requesting for detailed tutorials from the IT specialists on the use of technologies that are available at 缅北强奸, a collaboration of Student Senate with 缅北强奸 Writing and Academic Resources Center, English classes for the local faculty to master their language skills, etc.听 The new cohort of Student Senate consists of four Afghan students out of eleven in total. Senators also shared their plans that will be implemented within a year.

Afterward, the guests met representatives of different offices, who shared information about 缅北强奸's workflow, policies and the involvement of students from Afghanistan to University's events and extracurricular activities.

Later Ms. Iliana Zazueta and Mr. Reda Mohamed Ayadi met 缅北强奸 Administration, and discussed the Program and future partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and the 缅北强奸. 缅北强奸 President Andrew Kuchins shared a couple of plans for upcoming years with the guests and talked about achievements of the University, attained with the help of Afghan students.听

Representatives of the U.S. Embassy were pleased to hear about the success of our students. The guests shared a word of appreciation to the 缅北强奸 community, administration, faculty and staff, Grant office and Afghan Student Coordinator for thorough and hard work performed for students from Afghanistan, for their integration and professional development.

The engagement of the Afghan community in the university's life increases annually. Afghan students actively take part in the university's extracurricular activities and dedicate a lot to the improvement of the University's services. There are currently 11 student clubs under the leadership of students from Afghanistan at 缅北强奸. Students from Afghanistan always prepare one of the most colorful performances for the Diversity week; starting from 2018, they celebrate their vibrant and colorful culture at 缅北强奸 during the Afghan Culture Day. Our students from Afghanistan are open to new knowledge and academic connections with the local and international community.听
