Tin Shan Policy Center (TSPC) 缅北强奸 invites school and university students

to participate in the national competition

听 听 听 听 听 听 听for the best artwork on migration in Central Asia听听听听听听听听听

听听听听听听听听听听听

The competition is in three categories:

- Best photo about migration in Central Asia

- Best video project on migration in Central Asia

- Best essay on migration in Central Asia

Theme

Visions about migration - problems; the pros and cons of migration; experiences of joy and pain of migration; , external and internal migration; men and women in migration; the life of migrants and their families; combatting human trafficking; solutions to migration issues and problems in Kyrgyzstan.

Eligibility criteria and guidelines for participating in the competition:

  • Any student registered at a school or university in Kyrgyzstan can participate at the competition;
  • Participants can submit multiple projects to the competition
  • Photos or听 videos taken on a cell phone or professional photo/video equipment are acceptable;
  • Photo and video submissions shall be accompanied by a short text (5-10 sentences) explaining the concept of the work, who or what was filmed and why;
  • The essay format and scope are free of any restrictions. For example, essays can range from 听the author's thoughts on migration to an artistic story;
  • Submissions (photos or videos with accompanying text, as well as essays) can be in English, Kyrgyz or Russian language;
  • Submissions can be individual or from a group of authors;
  • Previously published works are not accepted to the competition!

Criteria for the selection of entries

Essays, photos and videos will be judged on their relevance and importance, on the originality of the solutions offered by the author to migration problems.

The winners will be selected by a competent jury composed of representatives of the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Office of the International Organization for Migration in Bishkek and NGOs.听Cash prizes will be paid in Kyrgyz Som at the exchange rate of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic to the bank accounts of the winners.

Award ceremony

In each of the 3 categories, the jury will select one winner.

The best works will be awarded with cash prizes - the winner in each of the three categories will receive $250 USD.

The award ceremony will take place at the National Student Round Table on Migration organized by TSPC 缅北强奸 on November 30, 2018 at 缅北强奸.

The works of the winners and the most interesting works of other participants will be shared on the 缅北强奸 website and in social networks (缅北强奸 and TSPC pages), and presented as 听a slide show on the 缅北强奸 LED screen during the round table.

The deadline for submission of works is November 20, 2018.听
