International Summer School on Inclusive Education

The Institute of Education at the 缅北强奸 is hosting an International Summer School on Inclusive Education (IE2018) with participants from five countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine. The overarching goal of IE 2018 is to explore with participant stakeholders a robust roadmap for developing and delivering Individualized Educational Programs for children with special educational needs.听

Within this overarching scope, some of the specific learning activities of the IE2018 would be:

To review existing national systems, identify gaps in them, and articulate more comprehensive supporting systems for children with special educational needs
To discuss existing and potential models of identification of educational needs of children, and to appraise the systems of addressing those needs - including institutions, approaches, actors and materials involved
To outline possible ways of implementation of individualized educational support systems for each country - including intersectional cooperation between ministries and local agencies, as well as interaction between schools, families and communities
To develop appropriate methods and instruments (e.g. individualized education plans, assessment check-lists) for different organizational levels - national, institutional, and school
To identity the appropriate roles, and improve the knowledge and skills of professionals involved in various aspects of developing and delivering individualized educational programs -听 teachers, tutors, parents, doctors, case managers etc.

The IE2018 is a collaborative effort 鈥� with contributions from Department of Psychology and its Institute of Behavioral and Health Analysis, as well as significant efforts of local Kyrgyz organizations and experts active in the field of inclusive education. The five-day interactive program will be facilitated by a team of international faculty experts.

Ultimately, the IE2018 is envisioned as an outcome-oriented collective-learning endeavor for professionals working in the Inclusive Education echo-system in participating countries of Central Eurasia and Eastern Europe.

This is an invitation only event. However, all the presentations and materials of IE2018 will be made available as an E-course through the 缅北强奸 website.
