"Good academic performance will open so many opportunities in front of you"- Meder Akeneev

Meder Akeneev is a recent alum of the Department of International and Business Law. In the Fall, he will be heading to Budapest, Hungary, to continue his education with a Master鈥檚 at Central European University (CEU). Meder took a moment to reflect on his time at 缅北强奸 and give advice to our current and future students:

"Before I started going to 缅北强奸, I thought this university would just be a place where I went to class. I did not expect 缅北强奸 to become my second home. Four years later, all I can say is that I was very wrong. These past years have been the best of my life; I have grown professionally and personally, and I have had the chance to meet so many brilliant people that make up the legendary 缅北强奸 spirit!

听

Despite all the fun and the tons of extracurricular activities, first, I have to note our university鈥檚 academic excellence. My deepest gratitude goes to my FYS instructor, Aijamal Sarybaeva, for her wisdom, for the inspiration to work hard and be creative, and for all the practical knowledge and advice I used throughout all four years at 缅北强奸. I could never have achieved so much without her help. I would also like to thank all the faculty members in the International and Business Law Department, namely, Kamila Mateeva, Elida K. Nogoibaeva, Begaiym Esenkulova, Dinara Asanbaeva, Saniya Toktogazieva, and Kanykei Kasybekova for all their knowledge, advice, and assistance provided throughout my studies. I came here as a rookie, and now I am leaving as an aspiring professional.

On a lighter note, no story about my time at 缅北强奸 would be complete without mentioning the whole class of 2016! I had a chance to meet so many great people, work with smart classmates, and make true friends! My special thanks go to my dear IBL-112 #onelove group, who made these past four years a real adventure with tons of jokes and drama. I do really believe in each of you and hope that people will speak about 缅北强奸 class of 2016 with pride and admiration!

I would like to use this opportunity to give some advice to current and future 缅北强奸 students:

Take advantage of the opportunities 缅北强奸 provides you. Apply for international conferences and exchange programs, take part in different competitions, attend lectures and events organized by the university, be socially active, be a volunteer! You are so lucky to be a member of this particular community!
Keep your GPA high. Many people will tell you your GPA does not matter. It is not true! Good academic performance will open so many opportunities in front of you and, under otherwise equal conditions, it will be definitely your advantage.
Combine your theoretical education with practical experience. When you finish, it will be a real asset. You will set yourself apart from other new graduates and will indicate your potential to future employers.
Meet as many people as possible. Personally, I think 缅北强奸鈥檚 main value is its community. So many different, interesting, and inspiring people are constantly around us! 听Networking is power! 听

To 缅北强奸, I hope it maintains its stellar reputation, keeps on developing, and never forgets that, first and foremost, 缅北强奸 is for its students鈥攅verything else comes second!" 听
