A child鈥檚 university education should be taken seriously. Not only is it nearly a half-decade of their time, it creates a solid foundation for success in life. The New Generation Academy preparatory program enables high school graduates to make the most of their time at university by providing them with proficiency in multiple foreign language, communication skills, and critical thinking.
At the moment, 缅北强奸's New Generation Academy (NGA) is recruiting 9-11th-grade students in Bishkek for its one-semester preparatory courses. NGA is also looking for recent high school graduates for its one-year university preparatory program
The first course is designed for current high school students and is held every day from 14:00 to 17:00.
Course Syllabus
鈥 English for academic purposes: reading and writing;
鈥 English for academic purposes: audio and conversational speech;
鈥 Preparation for TOEFL pBT tests;
鈥 College mathematics.
Students take English classes three times a week and math classes twice a week. Small class sizes ensure students get maximum contact with our top-notch teaching faculty. Our faculty made up of native and near-native English speakers from Kyrgyzstan, the US, Great Britain, and Canada, and our US textbooks, guarantee the highest level English-language education.
The NGA Program lasts one semester, and a certificate is given out at the end of the course.
10th graders can continue to take NGA courses and follow our four-semester curriculum. Within two years, the students have the solid foundation in English they need to attend and English language university. Approximately 90% of NGA graduates score high enough to enroll in 缅北强奸.
What sets NGA apart from regular English language courses?
NGA students do not just study English. They study a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum in English designed by and for the best-ranked university in Kyrgyzstan. Alongside targeted English communications classes, NGA offers advanced and college-level math classes. As a result, our students consistently earn high marks on Kyrgyz National Testing. This year, all 90 NGA graduates scored passing marks.
Who needs 鈥渁cademic writing鈥?
Obviously, you will need to know how to write academically if you want to publish your research in a reputable international journal. But proper academic writing also helps you write term papers for university, prepare reports for international business, and generally allows you to enter the global conversation on almost any topic.
Our instructors teach students to write small essays, research papers, and anything in between. With a strong policy of integrity against cheating and plagiarism, we help you find and express your own original ideas and opinions. Our students are taught to think, compare, and analyze accurately and honestly.
Our instructors help their students find the confidence to express their own ideas in writing. Academic writing and all the skills it entails are a powerful foundation for a successful life in both an academic or a work context.
Extracurricular activities
Besides classes, students are required to attend student clubs, namely the Debate Club, Book Club, and Video Club, all of which are conducted in English. These clubs give students the opportunity to experience an all-around English immersion experience. This is key for effectively learning any language.
Club activities are organized by the members themselves: they choose the books to read, films to watch, and things to discuss. They share their impressions and analyze the content in English with their peers. Assistant NGA professor Hurhshedsho Konunov, the club organizer, only manages the logistics of meetings supervises their activities.
The clubs meet on an alternating biweekly basis on Saturdays.
鈥淎t the meetings of the reading club, for example, members speak in turns, arguing why they do or don鈥檛 recommend reading some author鈥檚 books. They talk about what they like or didn鈥檛 like. Same with the films. Students don鈥檛 just learn to regurgitate information in foreign language, but to analyze it, to express their opinions about it, and to defend their point of view on it.鈥 commented Kamilya.
When do students begin to speak in English?
According to our NGA teachers, when someone promises you will be able to speak English after one month, it is just not true鈥攁n advertising gimmick by companies selling language courses.
When a student is diligent and regularly attends classes, he or she will be able to hold simple everyday conversations in a foreign language after about half a year of studying.
After four semesters of studying, our students are ready to enter 缅北强奸, and easily score the required 鈥渕inimum鈥 of 480 on the TOEFL.
