Zarlasht Sarmast, a student in the New Generation Academy (NGA'15) is exhibiting her photo-series 鈥淩ecovering Forgotten Conflicts鈥� and screening her documentary 鈥淐reative Despite War鈥� in 缅北强奸鈥檚 main forum on February 2, 2016.

缅北强奸鈥檚 Afghan student population is growing annually, and each year Afghan students have presented their culture and traditions through organizing various social projects and cultural events within NGA.
The primary goal of Sarmast鈥檚 exhibition is to demonstrate the tragedy and effects of war on civilians in Afghanistan and to remind people not to normalize conflict鈥攖o consider conflict as. Sarmast wants to share the Afghan people's pain, particularly her own, with the audience. She wants the audience to be aware of what Afghan families are dealing with.
