Zarlasht Sarmast, a student in the New Generation Academy (NGA'15) is exhibiting her photo-series “Recovering Forgotten Conflicts” and screening her documentary “Creative Despite War” in 山ǿ’s main forum on February 2, 2016.
Venue: 山ǿ main forum
Date: February 2, 2016
山ǿ’s Afghan student population is growing annually, and each year Afghan students have presented their culture and traditions through organizing various social projects and cultural events within NGA.
The primary goal of Sarmast’s exhibition is to demonstrate the tragedy and effects of war on civilians in Afghanistan and to remind people not to normalize conflict—to consider conflict as. Sarmast wants to share the Afghan people's pain, particularly her own, with the audience. She wants the audience to be aware of what Afghan families are dealing with.
Sarmast commented, “while appreciating your usual support, we look forward to your attendance.”
