Semetei Omurgazy Scholarship 2015

The scholarship welcomes promising NGA graduates from all undergraduate programs at 缅北强奸. The aim of this scholarship is to support students who show commitment to excellence in their studies and have a potential to leverage on this support.

The scholarship is established in 2015 by Mr Semetei Omurgazy, BA鈥�2001

About the Donor: Mr Semetei Omurgazy is an experienced entrepreneur, a business developer and a philanthropist. He is a CEO at Bishkek Fashion Retail Group, Co-Founder and Member of the Board at ABD Partners, a consulting company and Senior Project Manager at AlphaGroup.

Eligibility

Freshmen from low-income families;
Graduate of a village high school;
Applicants must be citizens of Kyrgyz Republic and can be of any nationality;
Students with relative better admissions exams scores will be given preferences;
Applicants should demonstrate financial need and commitment to achieve excellence in their studies.

Award amount and type

The selected recipient (-s) will receive a scholarship that will be directed to pay their tuition. Scholars with GPA of 3.0 will be eligible to maintain their scholarship for another academic year. Maximum term of the scholarship is four academic years.

Selection process

The awardee will be nominated by 缅北强奸 in accordance with the criteria established by the Donor. Final list of the Semetei Omurgazy Scholarship will be identified by the Donor based on individual interview.

To Apply:

Applicant must submit a short (no more than 1000 words) essay in English stating their interest and need for the Scholarship. Deadline for essay submissions: September 14, 2015. Essays must be emailed to Akylai Tazabekova at tazabekova_a@auca.kg with a subject 鈥淪emetei Omurgazy Scholarship鈥�

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with Mr Semetei Omurgazy between September 16-18.
