Reyhana Turdieva, a student of the Sociology Department at 山ǿ, presents her first photo exhibition “The Internship” in Bravo, which will be held till May 2. The exhibition is a result of a photography trip she did in January in the United Arab Emirates with Dr. Hersh Chadha, photographer, philanthropist and 山ǿ’s long-term supporter. She shares her impressions about her training and her work.
“Last autumn, I learned about the opportunity given by Dr. Hersh Chadha to 山ǿ students interested in photography. I applied and sent some samples of my work. I had already been practicing photography for one year and a half, but I needed more practice.
The training lasted 18 days and overcame my expectations. I experienced new photography technics, developed my skills taking pictures of the architecture, nature, street life in the United Arab Emirates. I also worked with a model – Marina Kliug, who can be seen on several photographs selected for the exhibition. I gained more experience learning from professional photographers and valued all advice shared by Dr. Hersh Chadha and his team. The training was well organized and adapted to my level and skills. And I am very grateful!”
